On 27–29 May 2026, the Stage 3 dissertation meeting took place in person in Vilnius, Lithuania. The meeting brought together master’s students and academic supervisors for a focused in-person review of dissertation progress and research development.

A total of 27 students participated in the sessions. Academic supervision was provided by 28 first and second supervisors, with 17 supervisors present onsite and additional supervisors joining online. In total, 21 supervisors from consortium member institutions are contributing to the dissertation preparation process, ensuring strong international academic engagement and consistent programme-wide guidance. In addition to the consortium partners, 7 external supporting institutions, are contributing valuable academic and institutional perspectives to the supervision. These included the Estonian Ministry of the Interior, the University of Zagreb, UNED, UCA, University of Bologna, and GC.

The hybrid format allowed for broad participation across partner institutions and enabled in-depth academic dialogue on research progress, methodological refinement, and next steps toward thesis completion. The dissertation stage meeting provided an important milestone in the dissertation journey, strengthening academic coordination across the consortium and supporting students in making steady progress toward successful thesis completion.

The oral examinations of the 1st iteration of EJMSBM will take place from 9–13 November 2026, followed by the graduation ceremony on 18 December 2026.
